Liguria, a region from the west coast of Italy including Genoa, is two days from Valencia. So, you could not get there by bus directly, we needed to stop half way. Fortunately, not all of the time course was wasted: The itinerary includes a stop in Arles, a small French town where the brilliant Van Goog lived for a month and we painted a large amount of work.
Arles is today a country of middle importance. Of course, it features a museum on the great Dutch painter, and he rebuilt the house where it stayed there. Narrow streets and old buildings are still its charm, and the town hall in the French Baroque, has its own particular interest, but also the Roman Baths and the majestic Rhone deserve the eyes of travelers.
I, however, I was fascinated in front of the arena, the Roman circus, still showing events that have nothing to envy to the bloody struggles between men or between man and beast, we all remember in films like Quo Vadis?
Right, so: in the arena of Arles is still celebrated corridas de toros .
